Seek Love Walk | Week 3

No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.  —Micah 6:8

When we go to work or school we know clearly what the requirements are for us to be successful.  To have a healthy marriage or any relationship, good communication is a requirement.  Each one of us have responsibilities and actions that are required of us weekly and even daily.  There are people all around us that require a variety of things from us on a consistent basis.

How often do we consider this question, what does God require of me?  If I choose Jesus to be my Lord and Savior, what are my requirements?  Go to church every Sunday?  Read my Bible everyday?  Pray?  Tithe?  Those are all important things, but is that it?

What’s Your Motto? | Week 4

For I can do everything through Christ, who gives me strength.  —Philippians 4:13

Nike.  Just Do It!  Gatorade.  Is It In You?  McDonalds.  I’m Loving It.  Ford.  Go Further.  Apple.  Think Different.  A motto is a short sentence or phrase chosen as encapsulating the beliefs or ideals guiding an individual, family, or institution.  Companies shoot for just 3 words to let people know who they are and what they value.  The motto is always out front when making every decision.

Have you ever thought about your motto?  What are the 3 words that give your life direction or define your beliefs or ideals?  It’s not something we think about or talk about much, but could have a profound impact on everything we say and do.

What if we had a motto for life out in front of us that we considered as we made every decision and as we build every relationship?

Join us for a series called “What’s Your Motto?”.  Together we will look at some popular mottos and what they stand for and come up with some of our own to define what we stand for in life or give us encouragement when we need it.  Here’s an example:  Philippians 4:13 “I Can’t, God Can!”  This series has the potential to give direction and purpose to everything in your world!  Don’t miss it!  Sunday mornings at 10am!
