Our Children’s Ministry is called “Next” … training
up the next generation in Him!
Your children are a precious gift from God! We are
so privileged to be teaming with you in your child’s
spiritual development. It is our goal to support and
assist parents in developing Christian attitudes and
practices in your children in a fun, creative, safe
and secure environment.
At SLWC, we use multiple approaches to accomplish
“training up the next generation in Him”. We meet
kids where they are with high-impact, interactive,
hands-on, multimedia learning environments. We
understand that this is key to having kids not only
develop head knowledge, but also heart knowledge
of how to live their lives for Christ!
With security in mind, you will be asked to check-in
your kids at designated areas so that we will know
appropriate information about your child to best
serve their needs and to also be able to safely
dismiss them to their appropriate guardians.
Nursery services are available for children under 3
years old. After they are 3 (and potty-trained) they
get to move up to “big kid” stuff.
Sundays from 9:45 – 10:55
With a focus on biblical knowledge & training kids
enjoy Sunday School through the Worshop
Rotational Model. Each week kids are engaged in a
workshop of hands-on activities that support a
month-long lesson theme. Cooking, photography, a
kids’ computer lab, games, art, and drama are just a
few examples. Part of the excitement each week is
for them to learn which workshop they get to go to!
Sundays from 11:00 – 12:00
During the adult worship hour, the kids focus on life
application, character development and a biblical
worldview. Pre-K kids enjoy “WeeWorship” and kids
kindergarten through 4th grade engage in
“KidzVentureland”. High energy is a must for this
hour!
Wednesdays from 6:30 – 8:00
Skills and relationship building are important to
young kids and that’s exactly what you’ll find at
SLWC on Wednesday nights! Uchoose is a great
opportunity to help your kids hide God’s Word in
their hearts while enjoying games, friendships, and
life lessons.
