Missions

Jesus came and told his disciples, "I have been given all
authority in heaven and on earth. Therefore, go and make
disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of
the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Teach these
new disciples to obey all the commands I have given you.
And be sure of this: I am with you always, even to the end
of the age."

At SLW, we take the Great Commission very seriously!

We believe God has called us to support local, regional,
national, and international ministries.

- At the local level, we partner with ministries like Helping
Hands, while also taking a "Jerusalem Fund" offering each
month to assist people with critical needs.

- At the regional and national levels, we partner with
ministries like Hephzibah Children's Home, a ministry
caring for abandoned, neglected, and abused children

- At the international level, we primarily partner with a
variety of ministries in Haiti to help develop the National
Wesleyan Church church and its members. We also
support a variety of partners globally.

Of course, short-term serving opportunities and mission
trips are a regular way we partner with the Great
Commission, but we've also been tremendously blessed to
see several from within our congregation step out to
serve in long-term roles of local, regional, and
international Kingdom service!
