Western PA District
of the Wesleyan Church

To Equip & Empower
Mission: The Western Pennsylvania District exists to
equip pastoral leadership and empower local Wesleyan
Churches to fulfill the Great Commission in the spirit of
the Great Commandment by multiplying believers,
leaders, and churches.

Vision: It is our vision to partner with local churches to
create a missional multiplication movement by 2010.
“It's not important who does the planting, or who does the
watering. What's important is that God makes the seed grow.
The one who plants and the one who waters work together
with the same purpose.
And both will be rewarded
for their own hard work.”
1 Corinthians 3:7-8 [NLT]
Church Multiplication Task Force
[CMTF]
WHAT is Church Planting?
“Church planting” means partnering together to start new
local fellowships in passionate pursuit of those who don’t
know Jesus as we seek to multiply believers, leaders, and
churches.

WHO is doing it?
The short answer is…we all are!  Each of us has a vital role
to play in the church multiplication process.  Every one of
us can take part in the “5 P’s” of church planting:
promotion, public affirmation, prayer, provision, and
permission—contact us to find out more
CMTF Core Values:
  • Conversion/baptism growth is our ultimate
    objective.

  • The purpose of church health is to become a
missional force resulting in the multiplication
    of believers, leaders and churches;

  • Every believer, every leader, and every
church is capable of participating in the
    multiplication movement;

  • Ministry happens in partnership with
    churches.
By strategically identifying locations,
people, and resources for the development
of new churches, the WPA District will
become a
Missional Multiplication
Movement
.  As such, we will use our “Core
Scores”
to measure our success.
CMTF Core Scores:
  • More saved this year than last
  • More baptized this year than last
  • 100% of churches participating in
    partnering with new churches through
    promotion, public affirmation and prayer
    by 2010
  • 20 churches participating in the planting of
    new churches through provision and
    permission by 2010
  • 3 churches parenting new churches by 2012
  • 5 churches being planted by 2012
