At the Movies | Inside Out

“Don’t copy the behavior and customs of this world, but let God transform you into a new person by changing the way you think. Then you will learn to know God’s will for you, which is good and pleasing and perfect.” (Romans 12:2 NLT)

It is written in Romans 12 that we need to let God transform us by changing the way we think. As we wrap up our “At the Movies” messages series, Pastor Jesse shows us that direction in the Bible for us to renew our minds by allowing us to feel. Listen as we review some ways for us to renew our minds as we live as children of God, surrendering to Him and living under His love.

At The Movies | Jurassic World

“Teach those who are rich in this world not to be proud and not to trust in their money, which is so unreliable. Their trust should be in God, who richly gives us all we need for our enjoyment. Tell them to use their money to do good. They should be rich in good works and generous to those in need, always being ready to share with others. By doing this they will be storing up their treasure as a good foundation for the future so that they may experience true life.” (1 Timothy 6:17-19 NLT)

It has been observed that humanity tends to desire the biggest, the fastest, the loudest, and the best. As we continue our “At the Movies” message series this week, Pastor Nate asks the question, “How much is enough?” as we seek to pursue a foundation of Godliness from an eternal perspective above all temporal gains that the world around us may present.

At The Movies | Star Wars

“And I will ask the Father, and he will give you another Advocate, who will never leave you. He is the Holy Spirit, who leads into all truth. The world cannot receive him, because it isn’t looking for him and doesn’t recognize him. But you know him, because he lives with you now and later will be in you.” (John 14:16-17 NLT)

The Holy Spirit is the way we can access and hear from God in a real way as He guides and directs us. Continuing our “At the Movies” message series, Pastor Jesse looks at what this force is with those who believe in Him, and what this power can become as we are immersed in the presence of God as we walk with Him in our lives.

At The Movies | The Avengers

“God sent his Son into the world not to judge the world, but to save the world through him.” (John 3:17 NLT)

We were all created with a hero spot in our lives, a desire for something or someone bigger and better to save and rescue us. As we kick off our Fall message series, “At the Movies,” this week, Pastor Jesse explores the idea that we all need a hero in our lives, and then asks the question, “Who is the hero of our life’s story?”
