#Lifehacks | Divine Design

“For we are God’s handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do.” (Ephesians 2:10 NIV)

In the passage above, we see that each of us was created to make a difference. As we wind down our “Life Hacks” message series this week, Pastor Jesse unpacks how we can have a powerful life as we know and understand our “Divine Design” for each of us to engage in the opportunities God has positioned for each of us as we live sent and be the church.

#Lifehacks | Spiritual Freedom

As Christ Followers, we have been given freedom in Christ, but yet we don’t always choose to live inside of that freedom, as Satan is continually working to steal that gift from us.

This week, as we look at 1 Corinthians 6, Pastor Jesse paints a picture of what “spiritual erosion” looks like as Satan attempts to take that freedom that God has given us, and he also presents some Life Hacks as we work to fortify our Spirit as we fight to protect ourselves, and becoming children of the King who are making a difference for eternity.

#Lifehacks | Prayer

“When you pray, don’t babble on and on as people of other religions do. They think their prayers are answered merely by repeating their words again and again. Don’t be like them, for your Father knows exactly what you need even before you ask him! Pray like this:

Our Father in heaven, may your name be kept holy. May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven. Give us today the food we need, and forgive us our sins, as we have forgiven those who sin against us. And don’t let us yield to temptation, but rescue us from the evil one.” (Matthew 6:7-13 NLT)

As we continue in our “Life Hacks” series this week, we take a look at prayer. Listen as Pastor Jesse reads from a familiar passage in Matthew 6 as he unpacks the prayer Jesus modeled for us. Here, we see some things that prayer is and isn’t as we seek to better understand why we pray, and we pick up some simple and practical life hacks to transform and become more engaged in our prayer lives.

#Lifehacks | Church

“All the believers devoted themselves to the apostles’ teaching, and to fellowship, and to sharing in meals, and to prayer. A deep sense of awe came over them all, and the apostles performed many miraculous signs and wonders. And all the believers met together in one place and shared everything they had. They sold their property and possessions and shared the money with those in need. They worshiped together at the Temple each day, met in homes for the Lord’s Supper, and shared their meals with great joy and generosity— all the while praising God and enjoying the goodwill of all the people. And each day the Lord added to their fellowship those who were being saved.” (Acts 2:42-47 NLT)

What do we think of when we hear the word “church?” At times it can feel we have made church to be something to fit ourselves, or something we think it should be.

This week, continuing in our “Life Hacks” series, Pastor Nate unpacks the five purposes of the church shown in Acts 2, and we learn how, together as the body of Christ, we can become a church moving with purpose.

#Lifehacks | Compassion

“Jesus traveled through all the towns and villages of that area, teaching in the synagogues and announcing the Good News about the Kingdom. And he healed every kind of disease and illness. When he saw the crowds, he had compassion on them because they were confused and helpless, like sheep without a shepherd. He said to his disciples, ‘The harvest is great, but the workers are few. So pray to the Lord who is in charge of the harvest; ask him to send more workers into his fields.'” (Matthew 9:35-38 NLT)

With ever increasing diversity in this country, we often experience points of view varying greatly from our own. As we continue our “Life Hacks” message series, Pastor Jesse asks, “If we are going to live and love like Jesus, how should we react when we encounter people who believe differently than we do?”

Listen this week, as we read the example in Matthew 9, where we notice Jesus seeing others through His lens of compassion as He takes physical action to the needs around Him.

#LifeHacks | Technology

This week, as we continue our “Life Hacks” message series, Pastor Jesse asks the question, “How do we utilize technology appropriately, governed by God, as a gift from Him for our use?”

As we recognize the technology that exists all around us today, we look at some practical life hacks we can use as we surrender this technology we have to use for God’s purpose and for His glory.

#LifeHacks | Devotions

As we begin our summer message series, titled “Life Hacks,” we look at this trend of new and clever ways to make our lives easier, and how we can use spiritual life hacks to move our relationship with God closer and serve Him better. Listen in this week as Pastor Adam examines what devotion to Jesus can look like beyond habits or requirements or rules, but instead a pathway to show our enthusiasm and love towards the Lord as we learn ways to better connect with Him.
