One | Baptism

“One day when the crowds were being baptized, Jesus himself was baptized. As he was praying, the heavens opened, and the Holy Spirit, in bodily form, descended on him like a dove. And a voice from heaven said, ‘You are my dearly loved Son, and you bring me great joy.'” (Luke 3:21-22 NLT)

This week, we move our worship gathering into the SLW parking lot, celebrating baptism of several believers! As week look at Luke 3, where Jesus is baptized, Pastor Jesse shows us reasons why we choose to experience the act of baptism as believers and followers of Jesus Christ.

One

When we are talking about people in terms of huge numbers, it is often easy to be overwhelmed and lose sight that every one of those people is a “one.” As we live the teachings of Jesus and show His love to others, we can express the joy we have in Christ as we encounter individuals in our lives. Watch God move and see it snowball as those people then have “one” to reach in their lives, as more and more who don’t know Jesus are saved for an eternity with Him.
