Questioning God | Week 6

“How long, O Lord, must I call for help? But you do not listen!” —Habakkuk 1:2a

Do you have a question for God? Why do innocent people get killed by drunk drivers? Can someone who was saved “lose” their salvation? Do all dogs really go to heaven? What do I do when God doesn’t answer my prayers? Why does God seem silent and so far away when I need Him the most? Is it even OK that I have these questions for God? Should I even dare ask Him these things and what’s really on my mind?

We’re inviting all seekers, skeptics and inquiring minds to join us at SLW Church for our next 7 week series, “Questioning God”. Bring your doubts, concerns and questions along with a heart that is ready to find answers together.

Seek Love Walk | Week 3

No, O people, the Lord has told you what is good, and this is what he requires of you: to do what is right, to love mercy, and to walk humbly with your God.  —Micah 6:8

When we go to work or school we know clearly what the requirements are for us to be successful.  To have a healthy marriage or any relationship, good communication is a requirement.  Each one of us have responsibilities and actions that are required of us weekly and even daily.  There are people all around us that require a variety of things from us on a consistent basis.

How often do we consider this question, what does God require of me?  If I choose Jesus to be my Lord and Savior, what are my requirements?  Go to church every Sunday?  Read my Bible everyday?  Pray?  Tithe?  Those are all important things, but is that it?
