We are so excited you have decided to worship with us!
We are using the guideline recommendations from the Wesleyan Denomination, our insurance company, the CDC, and PA Department of Health, as a guide for reopening policies and procedures. We understand that there is a wide range of thoughts and opinions regarding these precautions and procedures. As we do our best to thoughtfully respond to the various recommendations, we are asking that the focus be on the opportunity we have to once again gather together and on putting others before ourselves for the sake of safety and unity at SLW.
Our in-person, family style worship services are at 9:30am each Sunday. For those who are more comfortable watching online, our live stream is available by clicking here. There will be no Children’s Ministry at this time. There will be opportunities for kid’s moments during the service along with Go Bags provided for each child. Each bag has the child’s name and will only be used by that individual. Nursery will not be provided at this time.
Here are the guidelines we are asking each person to respectfully follow when entering the building.
*Please enter the building using either the North or South Entrance. The Hub entrance will be closed.
*Upon entering the building, each person will be asked to use hand sanitizer.
*Please use proper hand washing procedures.
*Over the past week there have been recent changes in Pennsylvania’s stance on wearing face-coverings in public and social settings. In response to this change we are asking that you please wear a mask during your time inside SLW Church. Masks do not need to be worn by young children and those whose health prevents them from being able to wear a mask. If your mask needs to be removed for comfort, it may be removed while in your seat during the worship service, but please continue to wear it as you leave the service or move throughout the building.
*Coffee and drinking cooler water will not be provided, but you are welcome to bring your own beverage.
*Please maintain social distancing at all times – including the worship center, during conversations, etc. (Information on seating is provided below.)
*Please refrain from physical contact (shaking hands, hugs, etc.)
*If you are sick or experiencing any of these symptoms – fever, cough, shortness of breath- please do not attend in person gatherings. We invite you to join us online for a live stream in the comfort of your home. In addition please let us know so we can be praying for you. If you test positive for Covid 19 or any other communicable disease, please, out of courtesy and to help protect others, call the church office and let us know so we can take the necessary steps to ensure the well being of every person you may have been in contact with. If this occurs – we will respect the individual’s privacy and not disclose the identity of anyone who contacts SLW to inform us of a positive test.
To maintain social distancing recommendations, we will be re-imagining our seating arrangements in the Worship Center. We will use every other pew and family units will be asked to maintain a 6ft. distance between other families. The Worship Center will be clearly marked and sectioned to provide clarity.
Once the Worship Center has reached capacity, please use the overflow seating area in the Hub. Video and sound will be provided in the Hub area to assist with the worship experience in that area. Because we will be using the Hub for service seating, we are asking that this area be respected and treated as an extension of the Worship Center. Please refrain from using this area to chat, hang out, etc. during the service.
We will not be passing the offering plates. Please use the offering boxes provided near the back of the Worship Center. Each box is located just inside the Worship Center doors. We would like to take this opportunity to encourage those who have been giving online or through text to give, to continue using this option. If you’ve been thinking about trying online giving, now is a great time to try. It’s easy and secure!
We are looking forward to gathering together for worship and we truly appreciate your effort and sacrifice in helping to create a safe return to worship for everyone. If you any questions, please contact us at firstname.lastname@example.org or 724-376-2233.
